ABOUT CANE AND WOOD EMPORIUM



The couple Ruben and Lilia Nool, along with their son Jeremy jointly own this business. They started in 1985 as joint partners in an enterprise known as Handicraft Design Centre, concentrating in repair and refurbishment of damaged and worn-out cane, bamboo, wicker, wood furniture, basketry and related accessories.

The team are also upholsterers and can re-cover cushions and seat coverings, carrying a wide range of modern and traditional quality upholstery fabrics. They also re-cover cushioned dining chair seats with vinyl and assorted furnishings.

They now concentrate on refurbishing and restoring antique cane furniture. They specialise by hand weaving wicker and paper cord, as well as hand caning antique and valuable pieces.
